Personalised Accessories Handcrafted in West Sussex
Customised Wedding Shoe Clips - View
When it comes to finding the right gift for any occasion, more and more of us are turning to handmade and personalised items. A beautifully crafted fashion accessory, gift card, jewellery or candle made by a talented local artist has a wonderful appeal that traditional products off the high street shelves simply can’t match. In fact, our passion for craft has never been greater, with a whopping 73% of UK adults having made a craft purchase in 2019, according to a recent Crafts Council study.
It is estimated that there are more than 11,000 crafts businesses in the UK, the vast majority of which are sole traders. (Source: Creative Industries Council)
We are privileged to be working with some of the most talented artists and designers in the UK to offer our customers a way to buy individually crafted, often personalised gifts for a loved one. These are truly unique and thoughtful presents which are guaranteed to put a smile on someone’s face. We’ll occasionally feature one of these artists and today we’d like to introduce What’s Up Birdie? - who handcraft customised accessories and gift cards in their small studio in Worthing, West Sussex.
Clair is the highly talented and experienced artist and designer behind the brand. Building on 7 years’ experience as a milliner for renowned hat designer Philip Treacy and working as a senior footwear and accessory designer for Irregular Choice, Clair created What’s Up Birdie in 2019 to offer beautifully-made, bespoke accessories suitable for special occasions.
Our current range of What’s Up Birdie? products include highly popular shoe clips which are customisable and handmade to order. Crafted with glittery letters along with lace, ribbon, pearls and beads, these shoe clips transform any pair of shoes into an amazing statement of happiness suiting a wedding or other special occasion. Such is the genius of shoe clip accessories that they can be worn with wedding shoes during the ceremony and other shoes for the wedding reception - and as a wonderful momento for years to come. We also stock beautiful greeting cards designed by What’s Up Birdie? which are perfect for conveying a message of love for various occasions.
